Feeding Guidelines

FEEDING KITTENS

Kittens will typically start to nibble moistened cat foods between 3 - 4 weeks of age. May be mixed with water at a ratio of 3 parts food to 1 part liquid. To ensure product freshness, do not leave moistened food out for more than 30 minutes. Kittens will be fully weaned from milk by 6 - 8  weeks of age, and after weaning kittens will eat dry or moistened food at will. After age one, feed to maintain good body condition, using the feeding chart as a guide. Start a self-feeding program, leaving food in the dish at all times.

PREGNANCY AND NURSING

Energy requirements continually change during stages of gestation and lactation and may require up to four times recommended levels of intake. Adjust amount of food provided to maintain good body condition of your female cat.

Tips on Changing Foods

Gradually replace your current food with the new VICTOR formula, increasing the percentage of the mix to 100% within 7-10 days.  We recommend taking your cat to the Veterinarian 1-2 times per year for “Health” checkups.

Keep fresh water available at all times.
